One of the world's largest arms fairs takes place every two years in London. Despite speculation that it would be cancelled this year because of Covid, arms dealers won't let the pandemic get in the way of their profits.
But the people and groups that make up the Stop the Arms Fair coalition are preparing to resist it.
The fair is known euphemistically as Defence & Security Equipment International (DSEI). It brings together arms dealers, military leaders and representatives of regimes around the world - including regimes that even the UK government admits have poor records on human rights.
Protests will begin on 6th September to resist the set-up of the arms fair. The fair itself will run from Tuesday 14th to Friday 17th September, with the biggest protest expected on the opening day, Tuesday 14th September.
We will be posting more details of plans to resist DSEI as it gets closer. In the meantime, you might want to keep an eye on the website of the Stop the Arms Fair coalition.
