White Poppy Volunteer Evening (London)

Come along to our third White Poppy Volunteer Evening this year at the PPU office! We need your help to get the message of the white poppy out there. Expect a friendly atmosphere, tea, biscuits and plenty of conversation on the nuances of poppies and pacifism.

With your help, we send out white poppies to over 100,000 people every year

The White Poppy stands for remembrance of all victims of war, both military and civilian. It also challenges attempts to glamorise or celebrate war, and so builds a culture of peace. Created in 1933, it is worn more widely now than ever before.

But the task of distributing the white poppies is huge, and we rely on the invaluable work of our volunteers to get the message out there.

Get involved!

Come along on Tuesday 1st October, 6-8.30pm, to meet other white poppy wearers, chat as you pack and learn more about the PPU’s campaigns.

No experience required. If you can’t make the whole evening, you’re still very welcome.

If you're on Facebook, let us know you're coming and share the event.

If you want to help but can't make this date, or would prefer to volunteer in the daytime, please get in touch. More help is always needed around Remembrance time and there are many ways to get involved.

Nearest stations are Kentish Town, Camden Road and Camden Town. Ring if you can’t find the gate.
