Blurb of the conference is below:
In a world marked by persistent conflicts, rampant militarism, and the flourishing arms trade, the imperative for peace has never been more urgent. Our conference, "Wars, Militarism, and Arms Trade - How Peace Activists Can Make a Difference," serves as a vital platform for dialogue, collaboration, and action. From examining the root causes of conflicts to scrutinizing the complex networks that drive the arms trade, our speakers offer critical insights and perspectives. They highlight the disproportionate toll of violence on marginalized groups, the erosion of human rights and international law, and the environmental devastation wrought by militarism. Moreover, this conference serves as a rallying cry for peace activism and solidarity. Together, we forge alliances, share resources, and mobilize collective action towards a world free from the scourge of war and violence for building a world of peace, justice and sustainable future for all.
