White Poppy Remembrance Ceremony - Bridgwater

Join Bridgwater Peace Group for a white poppy wreath-laying ceremony in King Square, Bridgwater, on Wednesday 11 November at 6.30pm, remembering all victims of war and calling for peace.

Bridgwater Peace Group invites everyone to gather in remembrance of those who have died or suffered in war, including members of our own families and people affected by conflicts around the world.

The ceremony will include the laying of a white poppy wreath. White poppies represent three principles:

  • Remembrance of all victims of war, including civilians, refugees and people of all nationalities.
  • Challenging the militarisation of remembrance.
  • Working actively towards peace and an end to violent conflict.

All welcome.
