The Three Counties Arms Fair is sponsored by BAE Systems and perpetuates the sale of weapons and other military equipment. Holding it at the popular Three Counties Showground - home of agricultral shows and flower exhibitions - helps to normalise militarism.
Thankfully, many local people are resisting! The Peace Pledge Union is pleased to support Malvern Individuals for Peace (MIP) and the Three Counties Campaign Against Arms Trade (part of the Campaign Against Arms Trade nationally) in challenging the fair.
Several protests are planned on the day:
9.30 - 10.30am: Demonstration in the lay-by opposite the Brown Gate, Three Counties Showground
2.00 - 3.00: Vigil at Barnards Green, Malvern, including the Stroud Red Band
3.00 - 5.00: Demonstration in the lay-by opposite the Brown Gate, Three Counties Showground
