Join the Annual Conscientious Objector Memorial Event in Edinburgh on Monday 18 May at 7pm, featuring a talk on British women pacifists in the Second World War.
This year’s Annual Conscientious Objector Memorial Event will explore the often overlooked history of British women pacifists during the Second World War.
Steve Illingworth, Lecturer in History Education at the University of Cumbria, will present a talk examining the history of women pacifists of the time and their contribution to peace. The event will offer an opportunity for reflection and discussion on their legacy and relevance today.
